{"id":1547,"date":"2024-05-22T11:37:17","date_gmt":"2024-05-22T09:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gan-global.org\/enhancing-quality-apprenticeships-in-turkey\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T13:06:30","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:06:30","slug":"enhancing-quality-apprenticeships-in-turkey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gan-global.org\/enhancing-quality-apprenticeships-in-turkey\/","title":{"rendered":"Enhancing Quality Apprenticeships in T\u00fcrkiye"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gan-global.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/tisk_gan_webinar_post_eng.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1430\" style=\"width:577px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In alignment with GAN\u2019s goal of supporting the private sector in advancing quality apprenticeship agendas, GAN Global and Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations TISK, the host organization of GAN Turkey, organized a webinar on 16 May on \u201cILO Recommendation 208: Enhancing Quality Apprenticeships in T\u00fcrkiye.\u201d This collaborative event aimed to raise awareness on how to improve the quality of apprenticeship training and contribute to the development of robust programs in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The webinar began with opening remarks from Akansel Ko\u00e7 (in Turkish), Secretary General of T\u0130SK, followed by insights from Kathryn Rowan, Executive Director of GAN Global, and Akustina Morni, Policy Director of the International Organization of Employers (IOE), where they discussed the regulatory framework and conditions for the private sector to foster quality apprenticeships (in English).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the keynotes, the panel session (in English) featured leaders from global companies who shared best practices from a variety of industries. Panelists included Laurence Gentile from dsm-firmenich, Sonia Studer from Nestl\u00e9, Defne von Krogh from UBS, and Banking Apprentice Anet Solmaz. They addressed critical issues such as the legal framework, collaboration with public and educational institutions, strategies for inclusion and equity, and alignment with industry needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event drew over 200 participants, including representatives from GAN T\u00fcrkiye, member unions, various companies, and international organizations.
