Compositions part 2 2016
Compositions part 2 is a series of images created with a scanner. The objects scanned were collected during walks in different landscapes, then carefully arranged on the scanner glass and digitized. The image produced is of very high quality, to the point where it makes microscopic details visible. The scanner surface has the measurements of an A4 sheet. The outsize prints reproduce the images on a ratio of 1:10 compared to the real dimensions of the object (210×297 cm).
This work is intended to honor H. W. Fox Talbot, a pioneer of photography. In 1834 he conceived the photogenic drawing: a series of plates in which natural objects were impressed directly in contact with the newly invented photosensitive paper.
